One Million Cups

Weekly event for local entrepreneurs to meet and present their startups to the thriving peer network of founders. 

UT Dallas Community Business Booster Program

This is a six-week program that offers guidance, resources, and individualized assistance to retail businesses. You can apply by January 12, 2024. 

Comerica Business HQ

A collaborative space that offers a mix of coworking spaces, incubation fellowships, and technical assistance, addressing three essential needs of aspiring small businesses: capital, cultivation, and connectivity. It has free, flexible, temporary workspaces and turnkey access to high-speed, uninterrupted Wi-Fi; information security and privacy; printing; scanning; large scale projection video conferencing rooms; as well as well as space furnished with equipment for small-scale content creation needs.

Moody Foundation’s Education M-Pact Fund Cycle 1

This is an annual grantmaking process that supports education initiatives in Texas. You can apply from January 15 to March 15, 2024. 

NEF Pitch Pit

This is a monthly event where you can practice your pitch and get feedback from experienced entrepreneurs. You can win a modest award and network with potential investors.

The DEC Network

This is a nonprofit organization that helps entrepreneurs start, build, and grow their businesses in North Texas. They offer various programs, events, and resources for different stages and sectors of entrepreneurship.

AccelerateHER

To register for the program, you need to fill out an online application form and submit a video pitch of your business idea or your existing business. You can find the application form and the instructions for the video pitch here.

Texas Young Professionals

We want to empower young professionals to freely determine the direction of their lives, pursue happiness and strive for professional success. TYP’s vision is to foster leadership traits and encourage young professionals in entrepreneurial endeavors, community leadership and individual self-determination.

Eosera's EmpowHERment Pitch Competition

Eosera's CEO, Elyse Stoltz Dickerson, got her start by winning a pitch competition in the early days of jump-starting her business. Now, Eosera wants to pay it forward by hosting, for the second year, a pitch competition with partners Simmons Bank (sponsoring the first-place $15K prize), Higginbotham (sponsoring the second-place $10K prize), Satori Capital, Tech Fort Worth, and UNT Health Science Center. Those who are female founders, own the highest percentage of their business, and are located in the state of Texas are encouraged to apply.

PeopleFund - BIPOC Small Business Accelerator Program

PeopleFund’s BIPOC Small Business Accelerator provides entrepreneurs of color with the capital, education, and resources needed to support healthy business growth. BIPOC refers to Black, Indigenous, People of Color, which includes anyone who identifies as Hispanic, Latinx, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaskan Native, Desi, Asian, or Pacific Islander.
